A New Jersey woman got angry at a cable TV worker and left him stranded in a bucket lift, police have said.

The unnamed 59-year-old woman reportedly turned off an Optimum employee's truck on Monday in Ridgewood, New Jersey, leaving him stuck in midair. 

Police arrived at the scene at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and South Pleasant Avenue after receiving a call about a verbal dispute and found the worker trapped 40 feet above the ground.

The woman then 'removed utility property from the truck and walked away,' Police Capt William Amoruso said in a statement. 

She has been charged with harassment, false imprisonment, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

Police said she was released pending a court date.

No names have been released, and police did not say why the woman and the Optimum worker were arguing.
